Well, my 1st league away game, good day except for the result!Mr Turley's performance today was a joke. Now i've refereed myself and I don't want to bad mouth him on an internet forum because i've seen him referee other games and he was good but I just don't think at his age he has the experience to control a game with men who are many years older than him. It was summed up when the fight nearer the hooter, in which Sheffield should of been penalised but he gave us the penalty!
Anyway, we missed Brown, no kicking game and needed him for the goals too. Think we need to get players in training practising goal kicks cause if we got 1 kick we would of drew!
Q is a good player but the same grubber kicks to the corner on every set was found out and we needed to get some high kicks up and vary the play.
Henderson was our stand out player and his quick plays from dummy half really help us in attack. Thought Rowe was excellent again in defence and overall our defence was good, just our attack was extremely flat.
Was a strange feeling for me out-singing a home side and I thought there was more than a "taxi full" of Eagles fans there which, after hearing about our shocking away support, was nice to see!
Let's move on and put in a good performance against Hunslet and get some confidence & attacking flair back!
