New stadium : Wed Mar 16, 2016 10:09 am  
There was a piece on Look North last night about planning permission being granted for the so called Olympic Legacy Park. What concerned me is that there was no mention of an outdoor stadium, only for an indoor stadium for Sheffield Sharks. Have I missed something?

Found this on the official web site

As home to both the Sheffield Sharks basketball team and Sheffield Eagles rugby club, the OLP will attract visitors from across the country to watch sports matches and other live events in either the indoor arena or the outdoor stand overlooking the Eagles’ pitch.

So I presume this is still part of the plans

“Following Ian’s announcement that he is going to leave, and the publicity around that, I was then contacted by some Australians. The head of that syndicate has been involved at a senior level at an NRL club, so he is a serious player."

Bit of a bonus getting a backer who's a player as well. :thumb:
