Writing a RL novel : Sat Feb 05, 2022 11:27 am
During the 1990s I worked as an electrical draughtsman for the CEGB at Harrogate and made quite a few visits to Blyth Power Station. On learning that I was from St Helens, I had quite a few interesting conversations there about Rugby League, even though there then was no club in the area.
There are a few now and this message is to encourage any new supporters to write a novel based on their own life with obvious stories included about our game. I have not only written six novels all set against a strong rugby league northern background (One Winter, One Spring, One Summer, One Autumn, Two Seasons and Three Good Years). I have also written three pages of general advice and encouragement for other fans do something similar. This is something that is not only interesting to spend time on but can also help keep you mentally healthy. If you would like to read these sheets E Mail me at wgeofflee@gmail.com and ask for Geoff Lee's North East RL Notes. |
