Five minutes in the Featherstone club shop might be worth it : Fri Mar 07, 2014 10:39 am
For any one going to Featherstone on Sunday, it might be worth you spending five minutes in their club shop, particularly if you like reading books about rugby league or are looking for a Mothers' Day present.Among some of the books are
"Rugby Football: The United Game" (based on the idea what might have happened if the Northern clubs had been in the majority in 1895).
"Braver Than All The Rest" (A mothers' fight to give her disabled son a better life in a town on the Yorkshire/Lancashire border)
"Two Seasons" (Set in a fictional Lancashire town in 2002 against a background of work, family, old friends and rugby league)
"Soldiers' League (The history of Rugby League in the British Army)
"Snuff Out The Moon" (The history of floodlight rugby league starting in 1870)
