WELSH RUGBY LEAGUE - PRIDE & PASSION IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY

No, leave them to getting beaten more soundly by the Barrow's and Oldham's of this world. No offence intended to any of those clubs.

Thought Crusaders did very well tonight. The night and the performance was summed up by me in Wellens celebration at the final whistle. He was ecstatic.

The Saints had known they'd been in the game. I just hope we can keep that level of performance going for the rest of the season. I think we would have beaten Salford comfortably with that performance last night but unfortunately we faced Sally when were in our snooze for 20 minutes then start playing phase.

Anyway, onwards and upwards.

It wasn't the muddy slog that it looks to be from the scoreline.

Don't get me wrong it could be described that at some times during the game but if there is anybody out there who know Crusaders they will know we like to sling the ball about whatever. We tried last night and had Saints creaking at one point but couldn't crack that defense.

Anyway, well done to our team, but draw a line under that now and get that first win under our belts. Nothing is achieved by standing back and admiring past achievements so we need to keep focused on our displays. I think JD will make sure we do just that.

Yeah, him and Long had Saints to win by 1-6 points

Well done by the way.

A really good defensive display by celtic, we hounded their line for most of the match. There isnt a team in the league or even the world that wouldnt be happy by holding saints to 4 points

Well done to Crusaders, as has already been said their defence was very good throughout the game and I hold my hands up to being amazed how well they did!

Weather was very poor for most of the match. Fantastic atmosphere though in the stand!

I thought a good atmosphere was created by both sets of fans.

Not over spillling though, good healthy banter.

It was, I think the way the fans mixed together in the stand really helped, we stood right in the middle and it was great!

Right. I've cleaned the thread. Let's keep it to a discussion about Friday night's match.

And two other points:

• to the usual suspects – stop the constant Widnes baiting and thread diversion;

• Widnes fans – stop reacting: it's giving the baiters what they want, so they keep on doing it.

If Widnes were in Super League it would have given the Crusaders another big name to entice the Welsh public to the Brewery Field...
