Yeh, I like going to hockey games and watching them live, but although I take a bit of an interest in the NHL it certainly is not the best sport to watch on TV.

But its still not as bad as Bowls or Equestrian.[/quote]best way is to tape it,then fast forward to each play(they only last about 10 seconds)then keep fast forwarding to each play.thats what i did for the super bowl final,saves me from falling asleep

I really do like the game, but the stoppages are a killer. I'm very much a tape it and fast forward watcher these days.

Used to love it when first shown on Channel 4 in the 80's. You got the highlights of the best game from the previous week without all of the stoppages. In those days the results werent reported over here so it was like watching it as live.

I love american football i agree that there is too many stoppages but you get used to it after a while and the adverts are needed to raise all the money they need to keep it going and at least it stops all the teams having silly little sponsors all over the team jerseys
