Your 17 for 2017 ? : Sun Nov 27, 2016 9:23 am
As title says. What would be your 17 for 2017 ? (not what you think KC will pick)

I'll kick things off with mine.

Lomax
Makinson
Morgan
Percy
Swift
Fages
Smith
Amor (c)
Roby
Douglas
Greenwood
LMS
Knowles

Walmsley
Walker
Thompson
Wilkin/Lee

I can't decide on Wilkin or Lee on the bench. With our history of never ever keeping our first choice halves fit on the field means I'd go with one of them but can't decide. Both can play backrow and in the halves.

Lomax
Makinson Morgan Percival Swift
Fages Smith
Walker Roby Douglas
Greenwood LMS
Thompson

Lee Knowles Amor Walmsley

Not too many surprises I don't think, the backs pick themselves (though hopefully a few more of the kids will be poking through by the end of the year).

Walker and Douglas seemed a good starting pair for Scotland and Amor seemed better coming off the bench last year so that seems to fit quite well. Wilkin will undoubtedly get in over one of Thompson or Knowles but I wouldn't pick him over either.

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

Yes, Walker and Douglas to start with Amor and Walmsley adding more impact/momentum after 20 mins.

I don't think we have a real impact player off the bench tbh. I think Walmsley the closest we got.

Not many impact players about at all these days

Amor captain is a very interesting shout. He's clearly the coolest player we have, but without the hair, will he have the same magic powers he had previously? What is KC doing letting him shave his head?

I think the team pretty much picks itself these days. No one in their right mind is going to put people like Peyroux, Owens, Richards, Wilkin and Lee into the side.

All except one man. Wilkin is going to play every week no doubt and Lee will be a permanent position from the bench. It will be mighty interesting to see what KC does with him. If he spells him during the first 70 minutes or when we're still involved in the game, I might explode. His only usefulness might be in cup games against lower league sides at home.

I do think amour should be captain. He's in the leadership group, he's experienced, he leads by example.

We've also added added Douglas, Morgan and Smith whicn will add more experience and leadership in amd off the field which imo we've lacked big time.
