We signed players and kept them when a new coach came in.
Bill Tupou was one of those. Seems like a good signing to me.

The big question is: will Jackson Hastings stay with Salford beyond this year, even if Salford is relegated?

Of course not. If he had wanted to stay beyond the end of the season he would have accepted the Huddersfield deal. He has only joined Salford so he can try to get an NRL deal for next year.

Jackson Hastings can't be angling for an NRL deal next year. Nobody in the NRL wants him because he is a serial pest.

Hastings will possibly make a slight impression at Salford, where he will be a foil for the magnificent Robert Lui -- that is if he doesn't get into a fist fight with Lui in the interim.

If a player doesn’t get a visa before next weeks transfer deadline does that mean the deal falls through?

It should do IMO, we have a transfer deadline for a reason and a transfer can’t be completed without a visa.

Jackson Hastings at Salford, Todd Carney st Hull kr and an unnamed play at Leigh are also waiting for visas.
