Two big wins over the last two weekends.

I agree that the last 10 minutes yesterday were dire and nearly took the edge of an otherwise excellent performance. That said, I'm sure we would all have taken a 4 point win before kick off.

How did Logan show he was a cut above? Really want him to find his mojo again as he is a good player.

He was much more confident generally and scored a good long range try. The team spirit amongst all the lads seemed excellent. Miloudi was wanting to be involved in everything and was trying to motivate the players whenever possible. Jack Downs had a very good game at 13 too. Defensively, apart from falling asleep in the last 10 minutes, we looked as good as we have been all season. Everyone worked for each other and seemed to know their jobs.

Thought Tali and AJ-B linked up pretty well as well.

AJB showed the merits of chasing lost causes twice yesterday. He chased that tr down when a lot of others would have just jogged up to the defender. And the time when he and Tali tackled the Oldham ball carrier back over the line were both getting something out of nothing.

I'm not overly bothered about the end as long as we take that warning shot and remember that every time we are 20 up with 15 to go, to win and still learn a lesson is OK. (I wouldn't have been saying that if we'd managed to lose)

They did indeed, and with Logan and Sam on the other side both outside centres look good.

I don't think that hanging on after such a dominant effort for most of the match was very edifying.
For the last three games, since Beryl has got her act performing nicely, we have looked the business and my forecast of a very tidy sausage roll was looking not unreasonable (losing no more than two in the run in ... max).
But in the space of less than 10 minutes we lost all structure, we panicked and we forgot about containment by clever choices/ kicks to keep Oldham firmly in their own twenty.
We got sloppy, unruthless and unprofessional.
And no way could we get by York if we get the chance and with that attitude.
Kill off the opposition!

Oldham?
Away from home?
Ordinary!

It is easy to see how a very depleted Keighley beat them a few weeks back ... quite a surprise it seemed at the time.

They are workmanlike ... that's it ... and they never capitulated, so full marks for that!

But really, we had them by the goolies and were taking turns to smash their fullback for laughs.

I wouldn't know whether to praise them or bollock them ... praise them for all the good work I suppose.

But I left feeling a bit deflated ... we aren't worldbeaters after all.

We have to return to having a firm structure at Coventry and play to our strengths.
Bish was totally underutilised I feel ... for example.

In general I think we have loads of areas for improvement ... a few examples are ... Litten should scoot more from the play the ball.
Martin (and Tali to some degree) should learn how to 'step' because just running straight into defenders is not as productive and is asking to get injured.
Can't fault their bravery.
Bish needs involving a lot more ... he is really good and is wasted.

And so on ...

Yes Jemmo fantastic by AJB really he had no right to reach that try but he did, as you save never give up as a lost cause as it wasn't until the defender had dealt with it which AJ never gave him chance to do although he did think about it a second too long.

That's how he saved a try against us V Bradford he never gave up again and the Bradford player didn't know what had hit him. I will never forget that hit Fantastic.
But well done to all yesterday except the last 10 mins!
