Our season is really about the Challenge Cup final and winning that.

We will finish 4th in the league, then go to Saints in the playoff semi, there will be a lot of big talk and chat on here about how Saints are "not all that" before the game, then they will beat us, and we will go in to the off season with a load of aggro about how the Challenge Cup win "papered over the cracks" and that it is still largely a TS team and needs major overhaul in the off season.

I think the first part is likely but no aggro. I think most can see we are a work in progress and need to get come more quality in at half back and the pack.

really....??

if we win nothing it will be what everyone expected after last year. finishing in the top 4 and pocketing a Wembley final was more than most would have predicted.

and if we do win the cup and bomb out at Saints where does the aggro come from ???

Already i believe we have a rejuvenated club under a positive Coaching team, with the prospect of an Exciting half back joining us from the NRL plus a strong running grand final winning forward joining us for next season.

yes i'd like a few more signings big prop and I'd like a new captain as Hill is a liability.

but win nothing at all, and i'll be looking forward to next season as we aren't far off this year despite having comfortably one of the worst half backs ever to put on a wire jersey playing for us.

Next year Saints will lose Barba
Wigan will lose Wane and lots of players, and will have Adrian Lamb coaching.
Leeds have James Lowes and Sinfield coaching,
Widnes could be relegated.

wheres the reason for Aggro there...??
I'm looking forward to next year already

There will be aggro on here, there is after every defeat in a big game like a playoff.

The main points that will be made are:
- why do we always come up short in big games, especially against Saints?
- what is wrong with the mentality, why don't we have anybody who knows how to 'win' when it counts? (hate to say it but would a Shaun Edwards team...)
- why have we got no real pace in the side, especially the back line?
- there is nowhere near enough depth in the pack for a title challenging side
- TS recruitment over the last 4 years has left us with a squad that needs serious surgery
- we need more 'biff', we're too nice, who is the 'enforcer'?
- Roberts, I'll give him a ride to the airport myself etc etc
- If Patton is the answer, we're asking the wrong queston
- Westwood, great player but has he reached the end of the road?
- Hill, why is he not the player he was?
- Currie, is he the new Ronnie Duane?
- Ratchford, why does he never seem to kick on?
- Atkins, not sure what the beef will be here but there will be something about Atkins
- T King, a vicious argument about whether the Mayor was correct or whether King is one of our best prospects in years
- AND SIGN A GOALKICKER FOR FECKSAKE

Other things that will happen after we get knocked out in the playoff semi:
- Gareth Hock will get released by Fev, and someone on here will say "we need someone like Hock who will get in the opposition's faces"
- there will be a story in the press about NRL clubs wanting Daryl Clark to make our poopholes twitch through the off season
- rubber duckie will drop some cryptic hints about a new marquee signing who we have lined up, and be the first to call Warrington to win the double in 2019
- Widnes will get relegated but their fans will remind us that they won the WCC in 1989

and finally,
- Cas will play Saints at Old Trafford, and this time Cas will win

Can't recall us playing a big game vs Saints in years. The last time we played them in a final I'm fairly sure is was Wire that won't it.

To be fair we say a lot of that throughout the season

2019...I'm holding out. I think we might be short of a general if Patton doesn't revert back to 7.

We've played really well in all of our cup games so far regardless of our league form. Nilling Wigan after being tonked by them at Magic for example. Aggregate score so far is 191-28. I wouldn't read too much into the performance vs Cas, and if I did, well how did Catalan get on at the weekend?
