Good performance tonight. Greenwood was excellent and the line he ran for his try off the pass from Williams was top notch. Apart from Marshall, that was a good night!

I thought it was a good performance, nice to see us keep it going for the second half. Greenwood and Davies were very good but Tomkins ran the show.

Shame about Marshall but at least Manfredi might be ready to step in.

A bit disappointed with SW's comments about the team having to overcome a circus to get this win.

No doubt it was true, but let's be fair, the circus started when he announced mid-season that he was leaving. As a direct result of that, we went on a losing streak.

My thoughts exactly. Wane decided to make his announcement 6 days before a cup quarter final! Unlike his circus this one didn’t contain any clowns.

It was confirmed that the club decided when to announce Wanes departure. He didn’t have a say in it by all accounts.

Yeah ok!

Wane has thought he is bigger than the club for a long time, I and a hell of a lot of other fans will be very happy to see the back of him.

Shame the team couldn't have overcome the circus HE created by announcing he was standing down, then get disgraced with a 23-0 cup defeat in our biggest game of the season so far.

You can already see the excuses stacking up for when we win nothing again this season.

If rumours had got out about Wane’s potential departure then any poor performances would have been blamed on ‘uncertainty’ at the club.
The club rightly announced it to stop the rumour mill going into overdrive like it always does but that’s the cause of poor performances according to some on here.
In either case, the players would know 100% whether or not SW was staying or going so announcement or not, performances are not the result of it being announced.
Wane was right to tell the club as soon as his mind was made up to allow them to get the replacement process rolling and enough time to get it right. In all of this, Shaun Wane and the club has acted with integrity and professionalism. I have absolutely no issues with anything to do with Wane standing down.

I heard that too, but I'm not sure SW is entirely without responsibility.

It was his decision to resign. He wasn't sacked, his contract didn't run out ... he offered his resignation. We don't know why - and people will forever speculate, but it was entirely his choice. From that moment on, at what point were Wigan were supposed to announce the new arrangements? There is no time during the season when we don't have games on the horizon, and from here on they're only going to get bigger.

The 'circus' was inevitable once he decided he was leaving Wigan.

Good performance with a bit more freedom in attack and some very tough defence. Tomkins, Greenwood, Escare and Leuluai were excellent, Williams again far too hit and miss for me.

Tough to see the Marshall injury, Im sure it will have been a choker for everyone involved with Wigan. Clearly a great lad with a first rate attitude - all the best for his recovery.
