Including Mitch Brown, and Bodene Thompson, for next season, maybe Thompson would be out of our price range , but I would have Mitch Brown back,to compete in the Championship next season we are going to need a few quality signings,at reasonable prices.

Not sure Mitch would be in our price range either, but like anyone it depends if they are willing to lower their demands
Wouldn't go with any imports. If we are starting afresh, then let's go with our own.
Atomic it was only my opinion on Mitch Brown, if we can put together a quality squad to compete in the Championship next season, and they be home grown players then so be it.
Next season will be harder than this season for all teams, as Bradford and York will be very competitive, more than likely Widnes being with us , and perm any 2 from Toronto ,Toulouse, and London, and ad Fev and Fax, it will be very hard to make our mark unless we have some quality ammo.
Once the dust has settled on this season, the loan players returned to their Clubs and a few big contracts unloaded, we will need a few new faces, including a new halves pairing for starters.I've heard the DB is staying rumours but even then he will have to compete or we could be in the same position we are now in , this time next year.

Charlie. We couldn't beat them with a £1.7m squad. Plenty players out there who have been discarded by SL, ourselves included. Let's get them and forget the imports, unless its a Ben Barba.

As I said only my opinion, in an ideal world I hear what you say , but needs must sometimes, next season if we can't compete with the teams mentioned ,will DB be threatening to leave again? That's providing he stays ,and Purtill or whoever Coaches us next year must be given the players to compete, or we could be looking at crowds of less than 1,500 next season.
It's cache 22,to be successful, we need quality players, who cost money.

Saw that yesterday too, Charlie, and noticed the same former Leigh players considered not to have made the grade in a (this year) decent Wire squad. Yup, would have 'em back but think there'll be more Leythe & Leythabouts players next season and will take Atomic's line of making a virtue out of necessity. Feel more attached to local lads wearing the local shirt - that it is to be hoped more resembles a Leythe one next season.
