Think his best days are behind him TBH, but he did run rings round us at magic earlier this year.

Would rather gave gone for a younger half, but if he's committed, and happy to be not guaranteed a spot every week, without throwing the teddy out of the pram, then why not.

What I would do is only sign him up for a year at this stage

If the coaching staff want him & are willing to take on his baggage & risk unsettling the squad, then that should be good enough for all of us.

We’ve come up short in a number of games over the last 2 seasons & maybe they reckon his nous would be worth the gamble & hopefully turn those close losses into wins & league points which would propel us into the holy grail of a top 4 finish.

With our weak position stadium wise, would a short term fix signing buy us some time?

Really not sure where i stand on this. On one hand i cant really stand the guy and cant count the amount of times i have laughed when he has one of his on field strops.

On the other hand, there is no doubting is ability, on his day he can destroy any team and he has the attributes we have missed for years.

Short term...do the positives outway the negatives? Is the rumour even true? Time will tell but i have every faith the CC and MC will do what is best for the club.

I heard the same Sunday evening, and on a two year deal. Seems a bit unlikely to me,
given he is 36, in January 2019.

I'm same as you, think his arrogance can get in the way of keep the team in harmony,

he didn't leave a good impression on me when he came to Stanley to train the kids turned up late with his little kid in tow, then tried training while kiddy watching, after training I'd thought he'd then spend a bit of time talking to the lads but ended up standing at the slot machine supping a few pints before buggering off
