The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

Where Liverpool differs from almost everywhere I’ve ever been is that the stereotypes are bot stereotype they are real.

How is this in any way spreading RL - if anyone wants RL in Liverpool they have a very good team in Saints on their doorstep.

RL had something good and greedy as ever have taken a great concept and ruined it.

FORZA WIRE

Re: Magic weekend fixtures announced : Thu Nov 15, 2018 11:16 am
Well I'm going on the Saturday, and I wouldn't be going if it was anywhere other than Liverpool or Manchester. I'm sure there will be a good few Wires, Wigan and Saints fans who think similar. For Leeds fans it's roughly the same journey time as going to Newcastle. That's four out of the five best supported clubs. It's also closer, or at least no further away, for Salford and Huddersfield fans, and similar distance for Cas and Wakefield. Catalans and London are far away anyway, so the only people for whom Newcastle is genuinely closer are those from Hull. To be fair to them (both clubs) their fans are well used to travelling the length of the 62 and do it well, so I'm sure they'll be there.

I'm looking forward to it for the first time in a few years.

It appears most people east of the pennies like to make a weekend of it, so a move to Liverpool this year on the days of their Marathon which will make accommodation harder to find and more expensive, not to mention potential travel problems once you get there, a dodgy part of the city to hang around in...iconic stadium or not!

The choice isn't to spread the gospel of the game to a new area, more likely a chummy agreement from council and football club mates of Elstone & Barwick. As long as the W.W.S don't travel far that's ok then!

There are a number of things wrong with the choice of Anfield.

To host MW on the same as the local Marathon is just farcical, but this is the RFL we are dealing with here, so it shouldnt come as a surprize.

Anfield as a stadium itself is great, when full of partizan fans hellbent on creating noise and atmosphere. The surrounding areas are not well suited to thousands milling around looking to be entertained if their team are not playing. St James was close to the city Centre and City of Manchester has plenty of space outside to have lots of other attractions.

That you have to host it on the doorstep of the three of the 2018's top four speaks volumes of their travelling support numbers. Just before someone takes umbridge at this comment, I am not referring to those who travel regularly.

If expantionism was the genuine thought, then lets have this at The Ricoh or in London.

Someone else blaming the RFL when they have nothing to do with the commercial aspects of Super League anymore.

Everything to do with the promoting and running of Super League is now in the hands of Robert Elstone and the SL chairmen, so you can thank them for this decision.

JESUS WEPT :WALL: HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

Trivago offering the Holiday Inn Knowsley at £100 on the Saturday night with free breakfast........cheapest rooms after that are nearer £250. I can see many folk making a day trip of it which will impact on the aesthetic, if not the attendance.

WOW,

WHat a contribution. Be it the RFL or SL, it’s still rugby league off league officialdum demonstrating its not shaken off its insular, lets we the with a poorly thought out option affliction.

But, hey, you carry on with you Pulizar-esque posts.

I think its taking time to adjust, soon enough it'll be all the SL fault :)
