Any player's contract that could potentially attract a transfer fee will be classed as a saleable asset by the administrators.

I am particularly thinking Gelling, Inu and Liam Hood. All player wages have been received and are in their bank accounts is my understanding.

The RFL paid them the parachute installment early knowing the situation. Credit to RFL for that.

i noticed the 12 points has already been deducted sometimes is takes a while for that to occur i feel for purtill after lasts years traumas, if it wasn't for bad luck he'd have none at all.

Hope Widnes can keep going need all the well supported teams in the championship looks better for potential sponsors.

First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can.

Very sad for the Widnes fans and for KP. I hope they can survive and rebuild.
It’s going to be almost impossible to not get relegated though, so a long road ahead for them I fear.

A dreadful indictment on the state of the game when we now have 2 previous "super" clubs having gone down the drain.

In common with Bradford, much of this has been caused by inept financial managment from within
But we are increasingly seeing the top 6 teams getting further and further away from everyone else.

Gelling is a certainty to be sold. in my opinion he is a shining example of the incompetant managment of that club.
It should have been crystal clear to them that this was an unrealistic signing once relegated.
It's actually Gelling himself i feel sorry for....talk about being messed around

Inu will find a buyer..although i personally would not give a row of beans for him
Hood would be a great signing if leigh could manage it......i thought that Higham looked as though age was beginning to dim the light a little on saturday.

The young fullback is their prize asset but is injury prone and slightly lightweight

As usual with this type of scenario, the biggest sufferers are the fans.....hope it all ends well for this once great club.
