Tomkins deliberately throwing the ball at an opposition player , then laughing when a penalty was awarded to Catalans is poor sportsmanship . Then when he kicked for touch the penalty went out on the full , but no officials picked it up .

Why would the officials pick it up? Penalties tend to go out on the full but they can also bounce over the line if they like!!

Meanwhile Brian Mac and his boys are waiting in the wings, ready to replace whoever finishes bottom. Could it be Leeds??
That would be the ultimate irony.

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

Can you remember when St's had a really bad year?

I mean bad in, finishing outside the top whatever number it is, & not getting to say, a C.C. semi in the same season?

I think we finished 6th one season, in our transition we lost Longy, Martyn, Scully, Albert, Gidley fairly quickly couldn't replace them but stayed competitive and kept in the play offs.

Leeds similarly lost Sinfield, Burrow, Moon, Hall, McQuire but have still not patched up that transition and have had to compete in the relegation play offs and look as though they are heading in that direction again at the moment.

To be honest can you imagine Saints and Wire winning the big game come crunch time, it’s been so long that no, nor could I.

Leeds aren’t small time but Peacock’s addition to the commercial department after he failed as Director of Rugby at HKR is a sign of the ‘jobs for the boys’ that’s become the club’s biggest problem. Burrow on the coaching staff, Ablett and JJB with new deals under Sinfield and 100% certain to get off field roles when they retire, likewise McGuire when he retires from HKR.

Being great players doesn’t mean being great off the field and Sinfield and Peacock have grown massive egos since they retired with CERTAIN people inside the club blowing smoke up their backsides reinforcing the rumour that is was solely all down to them.

Sorry to hear you are having problems with your memory.
Saints won the Gf in 2014 which is about 4yrs and 7months ago.
Warrington won at Wembley in 2012

I always thought a team beginning with L would be bottom at this stage of the season, I didn't think it would be Leeds though.

and burrow is a brilliant coach. he's doing a fantastic job with the U19 team. the rest? I agree printer although they are really no more than glorified meeters and greeters.

Burrow is doing good things with the u19’s, but does that mean he should be part of the senior team coaching setup. He was added to McDermott’s staff when Burrow has well know beef with McDermott and Furner taking over with Lowes, Chev Walker and Burrow (all former teammates and coaches under Sinfield) all staying in place instead instead of his own team just highlights the jobs for boys culture at Leeds now.

Sinfield is the key person responsible for where Leeds are at right now more than anybody else, but he won’t get the criticism he should because of his playing career.
