If Carlsberg did heads of recruitment (and given KR’s love affair with signing ex players of ours) hopefully he’s on the blower to Tui, Ferres, Ablett, Sutcliffe, Singleton.....

Laugh it up. Only the other week you reckon he would come to you for a backroom position rather than one with us.
No offence mate ,but you must agree you seem to have a. Attraction for Leeds players and of course Ex playersmaybe the sleeve has co e up with one of his plans .give you all our discards and ensure you are below us . Dont be offended we just find it's strange. Believe me we Need more than a retired Danny McGuire
I can't blame Leeds fans for having a chuckle over this especially after the Peacock fiasco.
Jamie read a couple of management books and kept quoting the best lines from them. Other than that he was just someone who used to be a good player.
Danny McGuire is a good bloke and still a good player albeit he is missing a lot of games through injury now. I have no idea if he will be successful in his new role I hope he will be. If not I suppose Leeds will find him something like they did with Peacock.

Fair comment but the last bit is part of the problem for Leeds at the moment imo.Leeds shouldn't have to feel obliged to provide jobs for the greats once they hang up the boots. Just because you were a very good player does not automatically translate into becoming a very good coach, administrator, director etc..
It's a big leap going from player to coach. It's an even bigger one from player to administrator. I don't understand why clubs are so quick to make these kind of appointments.
A lot of Hull's success in 2016 and 17 was attributed to Motu Tony as football manager. But Tony spent a long time away from the club, got degrees in business and management, and then applied for the role. It took him years to get there. You can't just shove someone into a job like that because he was a good player.
