Direct replacement for Ferres? Not really in the same mould of JJB by the looks of it. Just read somewhere he has played a bit in the centres as well which might come in handy as cover for Hurrell and Newman.

Jack Broadbent needs to be the cover for Newman and Hurrell.

Mellor is right age and size and looks mobile so all positive signs.

2 halves and a hooker have to be the priorities now. We cant go into next year with the options we currently have. Thankfully all the rumours seem to suggest the club is aware of this.

Bit reminiscent of Mike McMeeken at Cas, runs good lines and works hard in defence. Not the best back rower in the world, but at his age he's a good signing. Now let's address the other priorities.

Good signing guys, Mellor was our second best player last season after O'brien. He's young, runs a great line, has a bit of pace and can defend, with age he will fill out a bit more, and I think could go to the next level. He should have been in the knights squad this time around

He was a decent prospect of ours until Admin no 3 and he went to Hudders. Definitely more of a second row than a centre, he's too slow there. Still got heaps of potential. Decent signing.

Good signing for us, hopefully more to come a quality half back and a metre making prop is what we need.
