It would be a bonus for us if that is not the case. Although why would Pitts be in talks (if that is true) if he is still under contract.
It is true about them being torn up if relegated but that is a long way from being certain.
This time last year people were panicking about losing players due to them wanting to play super league and with Toronto absolutely nailed on there was no way any player other than Fozzard would be daft enough to sign for London.
As it happens Fozzard showed exactly why players should wait until a little longer before choosing their next club. I know at least one of those who has signed elsewhere for 2020 is regretting it already. I also know the club including Wardy are comfortable with people jumping ship, there are plenty more who will come in if the club survive or not.
I can understand players wanting to sort further out. But what annoys me most, is that we as well as Salford take players no one else wants and develops them plus home grown talenf. Then suddenly orher clubs look and decided they want them after all
So we will never gef a team of home grown or southern players, which in turn means kids from here can never have a home grown hero (like alot do up north). I think Stevo had it right a few years ago that the RFL should not allow northern clubs to poach them, i cant remember how long he said for. Also why is our players being poached and not HullKR or Leeds, after all the season not decided yet and if honest this time next Friday we coild be 4 points clear of bottom if results go our way. Plus these clubs signing up players for next year as if its already decided we are going down.

Memory could be failing me here, but the difference with last season is that it seems there are more rumours/talk of our players not signing on and staying, last year it was just a case of "well they wont stay if we dont go up". This year it seems that things are a little more concrete (already quite a few mentioned as going or in talks)
Im not asking for names, but numbers wise do you know how many we could stand to lose as things are currently??? I find the comment about players coming in interesting. The key thing there is the quality of those players.
On a side point, and this is not a dig at Huges, just general. A club is facing the drop. The owner dips into his pocket and brings in a couple of big names to save them. The club goes down anyway. If the contracts get ripped up, financially the club are not left stuck playing in the Champ with a couple of players costing big money. So why the talk about spending big to stay up, only to go down anyway and suffer financial meltdown??

I think I'm right in saying at least two of the players leaving turned down bigger money at London to go up north. David cannot be blamed for agents pushing players into clubs.
