Largely agree. I thought the early lead actually did Saints few favours as they went expansive on a night where their execution wasn't great and while Leeds still had plenty of defensive juice left in the tank. I felt they'd have won more easily had they played with better control. Matters little as they were comfortably the better side either way.

This has happened a few times this season where we have started like a whirlwind then tried to play too fancy and the opposition back in the game.

As you say they need to get the game won then the fancy stuff can come in the last quarter.

Understandably they are missing Roby's experience in the middle.
Smith is doing well for a youngster but they are big boots to fill

Well you're in the minority. According to redvee there isn't a player in any other super league team who would get in this saints side!

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

I reckon we just got dragged down to the Leeds standard of play, we have played the fancy stuff in some games when not needed but thats seems to be when we have rotated players a lot and lose that fluency in play.

We rested Paulo, Knowles, Roby (Injury) and lost Percival and Tai with Smith played on injured. It was a below par performance by Saints standards but luckily Leeds were not much of an attacking threat.

Who would you suggest, there's not many that would be an upgrade.
Obviously there's other good players out there e.g. Hastings and Austen but Lomax and Fages are on a par with them.
Maybe O'Connor but would you really want to put with his tantrums.

From Hull I wouldn't swap Connor, Kelly, Sneyd and Carlos for any of their Saints counterparts. We also have Josh Jones coming next year who I would rather have than Taia/Peyroux or whatever other second rowers they have.

Don't think thats quite right we mentioned Fifita and Watts being good additions to our forward pack, in the backs there are a couple of others but they are really on par with what we have already. You also have to consider the style of play to integrate into the team. :BEAT:

Lomax is up there with the most overrated show ponies of all time, he is a similar ilk to the likes of Jordan Tansey chris Thorman luke Dorn. Just plays in a good team, if he was at Leeds (this season) or Hull kr we would all be laughing at how poor he is.

Don't think so he's a creative player, 12 tries, 18 try assists, 63 tackle busts, 12 clean breaks the only other player by position who can get anywhere near that is Jackson Hastings but Hastings has a lot of missed tackles and penalties. I wouldn't say Luke Dorn (190 tries) should be on that list of show ponies either.

If he was at Leeds you would see a player taking on the line instead of some of the dumb plays by Myler, I think Lomax would do better than Mylers 2 tries, 6 try assists, 36 tackle busts, 10 clean breaks no matter how poor Leeds are at the moment.

You said the atmosphere at Saints was poor, Hastings did a Q&A on his Instagram with Lussick the other day and one of the questions was the best atmosphere. They both said Saints.
