We lost the cup final in 2014. Dorn scored a hatrick at headingley in 2016 on his first game back after having over 2 months out injured during his final season before retiring, hence his celebrations. Don't let the truth get in the way of your story though. Dorn's record over here was phenomenal especially playing for 2 sides in London and Cas who weren't exactly power houses.

ok that may have been a different game i was thinking off but he defo scored a couple against Leeds that season and got shown up for what he was at Wembley. and the hat rick he did score in 2016 i was right no-one did lay a hand on him just got on the end of moves by other players talents. Aussie chancer could not get anywhere near a regular NRL career players like these is one reason why the talent pool in super league has gone down hill.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

Wrong, he didn't score against you that year and you're wrong again on dorn completely. There are far worse players who've forged careers over here than him, he played in 2 semi finals, lost 1 and got motm in the other and lost 1 final. His support play , step and acceleration were very decent and it's simple you don't score as many as he did for average sides to be fair if you're not a capable player. At his pomp he would certainly improve Cas this season and give us some spark, not to mention yourselves. (youre on the brink of a huge desperation Jonny foreigner powder signing yourselves in a bid to stay up)

Now if we are talking foreign imports who aren't anywhere near good enough and could be stubbing the growth of the game over here, you got any in your team right now?! I can think of a few frauds who are stealing a living at Leeds right now.

Anyone any thoughts on the game, or did one not take place?

Yeah I thought saints weren't particularly good but they didn't need to be. Had they have executed good mode then it could have got very ugly. Game was over after 3 minutes.

JESUS WEPT :WALL: HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

You're just on the wind up now surely?

Danny McGuire has a .61% hit rate playing in the #1 SL side of all time......Dorn has a hit rate of .65% playing for mostly cannon fodder. ....Burrows is .40%......not able to lace Dorn's Boots.

You name 2 Leeds players trying to put down an Aussie who had a better strike rate than either of those players who were playing in sides who were winning....Dorn played his games English with a side averaging 39% win rate.....yet he outscored your 2 leeds heroes Danny (67% win) and Rob (67%) per game per score......he's no Show Pony, but as I said, you know this and you're on the wind up!

To say Dorn scored easy walk ins, and to exclude McGuire from that, is laughable...

TBH I don’t really agree with the original view that Dorn was a show pony but this whole tries scored thing isn’t really a good comparison. Not only because theirs a lot more to a player than just tries scored but the 3 being talked about here (Dorn, McGuire and Burrow) all played different positions and had different lengths of SL careers. Dorn didn’t start here until 23, if he was here at 18/19 would that percentage still be as high or if he carried on as late as McGuire whose played on older? More seasons McGuire plays that number goes down as he’s less of a try scorer now. The difference in his tries scores percentage before and after his serious knee injury at the end of 2010 would be quite substantial I’d imagine but he became a much more rounded HB over time . Burrow became impact sub hooker in 2011 so wasn’t like he was always on the pitch and towards the end of his career was lucky to get more than 20 mins with the form of Parcell so those numbers above are massively missing important context.

It's a difficult one to choose. If I had to pick one, including longevity, I would probably go for McGuire. He was the ultimate finisher who developed into a creator & organiser. It's hard to be critical of Burrow given his whole approach to the game. I felt sorry when he was moved to hooker, especially given the crap currently masquerading as HBs. But to be critical of Dorn is just bitter & churlish; he is one of the best value imports we have had. He had a better natural all round game than the others but not quite the electric pace of a young McGuire.

I have to second that. Dorn scored some beauties, including an absolute stunner against us at the KC for London I think it was. Very talented player who never got picked up by a top team which surprises me considering some of the dross that has been over here.
