For years now I have been critical of our edge defence. For me it seemed to start with Ben Cockayne when he started cutting-in to try and make a 2 man tackle on the opposition centre, which invariably left a walk-in try for his opposite winger and for whatever reason this has continued at Trinity ever since. You don't see this happening in the NRL week-on-week so why do we persist in doing it over here ???
It clearly is a coaching thing, otherwise we wouldn't do it ??
Every single week we get out-flanked and concede tries, so it clearly doesn't work, so why not leave the wingers out on the wing to cover the opposition winger (who, 9 times out of 10 gets the ball and scores anyway) and let the sliding defence cover the players inside ???
It sounds so simple, I know, but surely it has to be worth a try and not give walk-in tries away every week ???

I agree 100% FIL. Spot on. BJB is the biggest culprit. All those in the crowd can see it, so why can't those that matter?
