Golden Sands, Mr Snoodle. Uncle Billy was a right miserable old sod, from what I can remember as those days were long ago.
My apologies, instated at both as a kid and obviously got them mixed up.
Highlight of the holiday used to be a visit to the Harbour gift shop in Rhyl to get a new toy and a little prezzy for my gran - more innocent times then.......
No apology needed, it was a long long while ago since I last stayed there. The days of calour gas, carrying water from a stand pipe, needing an old penny and having to go out in the dark to a toilet block, are thankfully well and truly behind us!

Did you make your folks wait ages by insisting on travelling by the open top bus?
Having to walk into Rhyl with my now wife on a Sunday because the pubs in Towyn didn't open. I was about 18 at the time. I think we were staying on Winkups, happy days, no money but fun times.
