Early this season in one of Salford's televised games Paul was in the tunnel as the teams were walking out.

Say what you will and I was one to criticise him but he is the best offensive coach we've ever had, his teams going forward were a joy to watch, sone of his other tactics and strategies I found questionable, perhaps he could find his vocation working second fiddle to another head coach.

Off the cuff, easily read in the end by the SL teams. No rotation, no promotion. Teams are tougher now in the Championship then they where then.

If he was such a good offence coach, he’d have managed his squad better.

Disagree, was good to watch all this off-the-cuff stuff but more structured teams beat us regularly, the grubbiness that was regularly on show was embarrassing.

Poor move by Salford. Paul's coaching record does not read well. He has failed in every coaching role despite enjoying the luxury of full salary cap budgets courtesy of the millionaire owners at both Leigh and Toronto.

Prior to working with almost unlimited budgets, he was the head coach when Leigh were relegated out of the Championship to the abyss of League 1. It was only the collapse of Gateshead Thunder, who finished above us, that earned Leigh an 11th hour reprieve. A lot of people forget that.

If anyone is still unsure of Paul's many coaching frailties they only need to watch the 2015 opening Super 8s Leigh v Hull KR fixture at Leigh Sports Village. Broadcast live by SKY TV.

I still have that match on my Sky box and the second half is one of the finest example of how NOT to coach professional Rugby League you will ever find.

Deary me , it's an absolute shocker.
