We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

How can 500 - 1000 people protest a name change, but not care enough to turn up and watch them play.

The abuse Mazey has got isn't acceptable, but I also feel this has been handled badly by the board when you have the fans saying they would be consulted, then haven't been, I think we can guess why. I can't understand how they (board) thought it would be any different.
Mazey has indeed no doubt kept the club afloat more than likely over that last couple of seasons, but there are also those Swinton supporters have been turning up that were keeping it going prior to him being involved, volunteering and paying a the gate at the various locations before Heywood rd. All in the hope of a return to Swinton area one day, which has always been the biggest problem for them and growing.

I read the statement by Mazey and thought it was pretty good and heard him on the fulleighty and thought he was excellent in a lot of what he said, you could make the same cases for any club in Greater Manchester, I can't help but feel it was a step too far for the fans and would be the death of Swinton RL. If theres a market for a Manchester RL club it needs more money than many have to get it going and certainly won't work long term in Sale.

Sadly i fear without Andy Mazeys money the club will fold
