2020 Offer : Tue Sep 17, 2019 1:11 pm
As a Bulls fan myself and Chairman of Shaw Cross I’d like to offer Bulls fans the chance to use our facilities on Matchdays.

We’re less than 5 minutes walk from the Dewsbury ground, we have a decent sized car park and very reasonable drinks prices.

I was thinking of charging £3 for parking and with your parking ticket you get a free drink when you order any other drink (hot drinks, soft drinks, draft beers).

Would this be something that would interest people?

Sounds a great offer.
Google maps states an 11 min walk to the ground rather than 5??

I wouldn’t have said it was 11 minutes but I might be wrong.
I’m not the most active bloke in the world and I’d say it’s a very steady walk.

Ok so it might be 10 mins but that's knack all and you're helping support a local amateur club with a bull as chairman. Seems fair enough to me.

10 mins might be "knack all" to you and thats great but for someone who travels with an oap or has a problem with their knees it might be a touch too far.
I was just trying to establish which was more accurate, 5 or 11 mins

Fair enough. I'll just declare my competing interest of also having a problem with my knees. Shaw Cross club (presumably where we'd be parking) as opposed to the Rugby pitches is probably a steady and fairly level 6 or 7 minutes I'd say.

I'm a pensioner too and have fairly dodgy knees (too many marathons, half marathons and 10ks I think) but I walk to and from Odsal on matchdays from Tyersal so I doubt I'd get warmed up with just11minutes..... :KATA:
