Certainly another 4 or 5 which is ideal if Leeds were to sign. Hed help us get back up there without a doubt. As long as he recovers from injury ok that is

This is the bit I don't get though. If he is making good progress recovering and could play at a decent level for a other 4 years say, why are CAS letting him go?

They wanted Fages or Richardson ages ago and the main reason is we are paying a lot for him!

It’s a loyalty thing between player and club, and Powell. It was the player who had the opportunity with Leeds, and the player that has this agreement with club. They were not letting him go, and it was only on the condition of them getting the player they wanted.

So the big fee that CAS have paid for Richardson is really just passing on what we are paying for Gale? Tbh I had totally missed that we are paying a fee for Gale. I need to stop going on about gale but paying a large fee (define large I guess. Me and my good lady struggle with that definition once every month) for a player who has been out for nearly two years and is north of 30 does not sit well.
Cas are often short of cash, Gale will be on a big salary, probably their biggest earner, and they can take a transfer fee for him now, rather than nothing in a years time.
