Were my eyes deceiving me or is the North Stand at Belle Vue subsiding. The stand is breaking in two. The gap between them having been poorly repaired. The foot or so difference in height having been poorly made up in concrete. Say that the flare that was let off the other day had exploded. The crowd would have surged away from the incident. People would neither see or expect the floor to rise as it does. People would stumble and fall. The push from behind would cause serious injuries or death. I would as you to see what happened at Bethnal Green Tube station in WW2.
Further some of the walkways are not in good condition.
Mend a Hose Jungle. The bank that rises to the Railway End. Behind the Skyboard is an area covered in stones. As small stones do they have travelled and are all over the ground, on the steps and terrace. An emergency evacuation with loose footing is not safe.
The concrete on the terraces is in poor condition. Edges broken and generally they are not good.
I know that these are old stadia. But they have to be safe especially with large crowds.
Am I correct in thinking Wakefield Council covers both of the old grounds?

BV has a safety certificate, it has its capacity limited by it, and even in a brand spanking new all seater stadium if a flair exploded there would be loads off people clambering over plastic seats and potentially falling etc.

Belle Vue is a dump, and it hinders Trinity more than anybody else, but I've never felt unsafe, even in a 10+ crowd. In fact the only time I've seen someone fall over at a the stadium was at the JJB when Phil Clarke fell down the steps during an international match in the early 2000's.

Let us just hope there is not an incident where serious injuries or death occurs. That seems to be the way of things at Wakefield.

that's why you was all put in a nice little safe area where all the barriers had been tested to make sure if there was a surge it wouldn't be life threatening :roll: do you wear Velcro shoes so you don't trip up over your laces if not you should as you sound like a health and safety officer

Little tip for you too stick a cork on the end of your fork so you don't poke your eye out

and iit wasn't flare it was a smoke grenade the moron that set it off should be ashamed as should all the other morons that use flares and smoke grenades in crowded places there use is five star stupidity most are being bought off the internet no checks in place and I bet there;s no guarantee on the quality control at the shed some other clown is making money out of another set of clowns GROW UP idiots
