Firstly hope the family reasons aren't too serious, secondly the team should be appointing specialist attack & defence coaches.

From our perspective of maybe losing Carr as Assistant, this is disappointing.

Getting the right senior coaching staff in place is just as important as getting the next couple if player signings right.

Yes it's a real shame he's not joining us. He made a difference to us when he came in

We have not had a really good assistant coach for about 8 years, we must appoint a really good assistant for next year, chev walker is glorified water carrier, Burrow is maybe a couple of years off as is cuthbo who has done a great job with womens team, playing some lovely rugby. Carr seemed ideal fit, hopefully can get a really good replacement an up and coming coach from championship or Nrl reserve grade.

The reality here is that nobody knows what impact the assistant coach has compared to the head coach. It's just an attempt to sound informed.

I'm certain a couple of players mentioned in the press about the positive impact of Carr

Carr was highly regarded by the players he coached and Leeds, but if he's going home, so be it.

If that happens it really shows the club has simply become a place where jobs for the boys really does apply. Webster has been a disaster wherever he has coached
