But it is also sad for the international competitiveness of British rugby league in the near future, if Samuel Burgess is forced to retire, especially with the next World Cup to be played in 2021.

Why do you always spell everyones full name, can't you call him Sam like EVERYONE else including his family do. So weird.

How do you know what his family, especially his mother and brothers, call him in private?

In any case let's not get fixated on trivial issues. The important issues are the possible early retirement of Samuel Burgess, and the fact that he will get to receive his very valuable contract salary if he does retire.

To be fair, it:

1. sounds like an amicable split with his wife with the Kids being the #1 Priority
2. sounds like it was more the old man feeling threatened rather than Sam being violent. If he's been violent he'd have not been able to get on a flight.
3. sounds like the BBC employee charged with finding bad RL stories must be on the pish in Tokyto, because it's nowhere to be found there
