I have to say that with Dewsbury playing at home on Friday night and the weather having been rather wet in that part of Yorkshire. I expect that pitch be dreadful. It normally is at this time of year anyway.
Broncos win by 10.

The Hull D/R makes it tricky. If we get one or two of their fringe forwards who have played a bit of SL before, on that tight pitch, we may go alright. If they send us a couple of their 18yo backs, we may struggle.
Bulls by 4. I'm going the side of JK, a quagmire of a narrow pitch and a couple of gnarly Hull props will see you off...

Happy with a win, first game of the season with the weakest team we have had for at least 4 years (if not longer), at a pitch we always really struggle at, with a team with very little time playing together.

They will get better as the season goes on, and they get more used to each other.

Would like to hear from those who went how they played?

An ‘ugly’ win as Wardy said - but I’ll take an away win to start the season any way we can get it!

Your wish is my command.

Worth noting the pitch degraded dramatically over the course of the game. No excuse but as the season goes on and firmer grounds are the order of the day we will put on a better show.

We made too many unforced errors. First set we knocked on on first play! Armitage made a great break only to cock up passing the ball after arm hit ground. Ogden was lucky to not see yellow for a blatant pro foul that saved a try.

Positives include Fozzard Curran and Walters, Armitage was strong as was Richards. A win is a win not much more than that.

Negatives our half backs, other than a couple of clever drop offs were non existent.

Nice to see Walker and Pittsy there in support.

Agree with PC Plum. Our left side looked good in attack. Sammut appeared during the second half too.
