Lost 10 of his last 12 league games.

Last time we won two games on the bounce was June 2019.

Last away win was London in July 2019.

He has got to be put on notice that this is just not good enough.

This isnt knee jerk, the writing has been on the wall for months and months.

Should have gone last year. Regardless of the cup win.

Could you imagine for one minute that Saints or Wigan would keep a coach with that recent record?

Stood on the sideline today, hands in pockets all game, no urgency, no shouting instructions, no change of tactics.

Another poor decision by the club to not have removed him last season.

Re: Price. : Sun Feb 16, 2020 7:33 pm
We've been here before with Tony Smith a few years ago.

The relevant question is who is available to take over and do we have a credible sense that they are the right appointment.

If its just a case of, "oh we don't know, but we'll advertise the job and someone will apply and we'll see what happens" then you're not necessarily going to be any better off.

Maybe if you're facing relegation and the coach has a toxic relationship with the players you may as well just play the coach lottery but when you're one of the top sides (but not quite THE top side) you need to have a compelling candidate available that you can see will take you to the next level.

When we were having this same discussion back in 2017 the big complaints were:

- fed up of being the 'nearly' side that won cups here and there but couldn't win the Grand Final
- poor recruitment in recent years
- one-dimensional, predictable rugby
- young players being chopped and changed in the squad
- stuck in a losing spiral, we'd had about half a year of relegation form

So on which of those measures are we in a better place as a result of playing the coach lottery?

Shaun Wane had been available for months. You can’t tell me he wouldn’t do a better job than what Price is currently doing and wouldn’t get more out of the same set of players. The bloke is a born winner.

That argument can be used to keep the malaise and status quo indefinitely unless you have Wayne Benett waiting in the wings.

For me I would give Hendersen until the end of the season. He was impressive at London. I don't think we are letting anything special go in Price, do you?

He can go for me. Lucky we played Saints with 'half their cap out'.

Who do we want then.

Briers or Hendo
