Are YorkCourt still in the picture? I thought they'd pretty much got what they want i.e. all the land for themselves, now attentions have turned to redeveloping BV and we were seeking to find funding elsewhere? I wouldn't be waiting on them for anything (nor the Council) but I presume we don't have many other options

Funding from elsewhere? I would love to know where that's coming from. I think either YCP pays up or we get nothing and I can't see any legal obligation for them to pay so I see us getting nothing.

Re our upgrade of Belle Vue - I am hoping that, bearing in mind we must have already incurred considerable expense getting to where we currently are, we have some sort of binding agreement with a third party, presumably Yorkcourt,to supply a specified amount of funding. The fact that YC reached an agreement with Henry Boot to jointly develop the site gave me a little more optimism, purely because they've lots more money. But developers are all a set of greedy shites, and it does, as a previous poster has just put, seem like they are 'playing us' at the moment.I hope things work out, but I'm not holding my breath! Just as an afterthought, we had a binding agreement to build us a brand new stadium, hmmm!

The Speaker of the House of Commons was with our MP. There was a photograph on social media of them at the game.

No idea, sponsorship being the only one that springs to mind....we have a huge main sponsor - 'give us some money for a new stand and we'll call it the Asus Stadium'...god knows! If we're relying on York Court though we may aswell forget it imho, they showed their hand long ago and can't see that changing while the Council keeps letting them do what they like.
