He backs into him, it's soft as hell but Child sent it up as a Try so Grant can't really overturn it.

Apparently not but he's binning him anyway and Child says it's for "pulling him back in a try scoring situation" so how is it NOT a penalty try when it was sent as one?

I dont understand that decision at all. Pulled him back ??? Benefits my team but I cant graps that.

He backs into him as opposed to pulling him back - it's soft as soft can be but Tim Grant should have gone with the on field call there as there wasn't evidence in the contrary, as evidenced by what Child said when he gave the yellow card.

It's a penalty try because of the on field decision and a sin bin OR nothing at all. What we got instead is hedging bets.

Initially I thought penalty try 10 mins was screaming for it but on the replay looks more like a coming together. I would have been content with the drop out. It's a tough tough call imo.

Yeah, it's on field call or drop out....penalty + sin bin is a cop out "half way" decision.
