The road to Wembley - Bradford Bulls Friday 7.45 : Mon Mar 09, 2020 9:15 am  

Here we go again on our quest for an elusive Cup Final appearance.
Having finished in the bottom 4 of SL last season, Trinity enter the comp a round earlier this time around and it all kicks of with a home tie against the Bradford Bulls.
A home tie against lower league opposition is as god as it gets in the cup and Trinity will be expecting to progress.
Although Bradford were fantastic last season when they scalped an out of form Leeds side in last seasons comp, their stock does seem to have fallen significantly.
However, Trinity have suffered form being a bit soft mentally in such games and this could still be a banana skin if we are not properly prepared.
No one needs reminding that it's 41 years since Trinity last made it to Wembley and we are well overdue a return.
Need to get the job done and hope for some luck in the draw for the next round.

Tickets are cheap and the boys need our support.

I haven't been to the CC Final as it's never Interested me to go unless Wakefield are there. Like to watch it on TV. However this year I'm going to watch as part of a stag do. So please Wakefield

Trinity are like the England football side and the line from "Three Lions" about "forty years of hurt" is very apt.
I'm not that old but, I just want us to get there while I'm able and the one thing for certain is that, if it's another 40 years, it will be too late

The silver lining for you, assuming that you do actually make it to the game, is that it's a great event.
Even though it's lost some of it's kudos since the GF was introduced, for me, it's a much, much better occasion.

I went to 1968 and 1979 finals, third time lucky for a win. Been as a neutral quite a dew times. Better atmosphere at the 'old' wembley.

was at the 1963,1968 and1979 finals so very mixed memories !!
