Club Sponsorship/Support : Sun Mar 29, 2020 4:05 pm
Hi everyone.

Some of you will already be well aware that the Independent fans group on Facebook 'London Broncos Away' had a discussion about how to keep supporting the club during these difficult times where income is practically zero other than central funding (which doesn't cover anywhere near enough) and an idea was developed to donate to the club. In order to try and give fans something back we have been allocating the cash donated against the remaining available player sponsorship's and will draw the signed shirt and signed pictures between the fans that contributed to that particular sponsorship.

As you can see on the link below you can make a donation of £10, or if you are wanting to do more, multiples of £10 by changing the quantity.

https://shop.londonbroncosrl.com/produc ... ponsorship

The club are hugely grateful for fans that are rallying around at this time buying these donation amounts and merchandise and fully understand that some people face uncertain times so we do not want people to give anything they cannot afford.

I am putting this here as some of the users of this forum may not have access to the facebook group or even use facebook.

In the coming weeks we are looking to do a number of other things that will try and keep helping towards the running costs of the club and amazingly we will be able to announce in the coming weeks some new sponsors who are coming on board even during these tough times.

Thank you so much for your support guys and if there is anything you want to discuss re the club please feel free to drop me an email on james.milner@londonbroncosrl.com

I find it quite interesting how in these obviously difficult times. The London Broncos have suddenly woken up to the fact that the club have fans who might be able help the in their hour of need.

I have followed the club from the first days at Charlton. In the early days under the Aussies, I felt that fans were considered and effort was made to make you feel part of the club. For some time now I have felt that we fans, are seen by the club simply as a bunch of drunks who have to be tolerated.
How approachable are the officials of the club on match days? They are at best distant. However David Hughes runs the club his way. So be it. He who pays the piper calls the tune.

I will take part in this scheme. I hope this will mark a turning point in the club, fan relationship. The club must realize that their fans are an asset not a liability. Do not take us for granted!

I can understand why some people may think that way, and having been a fan, and then sponsor/supplier of the club I've seen evidence of what you talk about in terms of previous occupants of various roles not giving two hoots about the supporters. However, and I am sure that any of the fans that know me or have spoken to me will testify, I am determined not to let that happen however I have been in the role for around a month and it will take time to rebuild the relationship between fan and club. I've told fans on various platforms to email me if they need anything or have any ideas they want to share as well as taking calls from several fans in the last week whilst at home to answer stuff for them and give them some reassurance etc.

There is certainly not any of the feeling you speak off from David, or Jason Loubser, and both have encouraged me to actively restore the club/supporter relationship. I've even got a budget for Thursday night beers with fans in town to watch Super League and get some serious and constructive feedback from fans (That timing could not have been worse could it.....after lockdown we need to get the Thursday night club started).

You talk about officials being unapproachable but apart from myself (I'm always happy to talk to anyone and have done since joining the role and even before that on match days) who else would you like to speak to? Ask a Hull KR fan if they get to chat with Neil Hudgell or Mike Smith on a game day. I actually think David talks to fans way more than any other Chairman or Owner by often going into the Cyber Rock Bar after a game. Ian Lennegan totally ignored a Wigan fan outside of the DW when I was parking up near him last season. Jason is very busy on a match day co-coordinating staff, safety officers and other aspects but he will be with me on Thursday nights meeting the fans and answering questions.

Everyone will have their own take on this and some will think I am wrong but all I can do is assure you that the supporters have always been appreciated from the people at the top and it is now my job to ensure that link is there so that your thoughts and observations will be taken on board by David and Jason. I cannot help with Danny, if you want to pick the team you can tell him that yourself :D

I have to say that I have heard these protestations from the club regarding its relationship with the fans many times before. In fact the only time that things did actually happen was with the appointment of Gus Mackay. Then things did change. THEY GOT WORSE !!!!!!!!!!!

I must also add. I have never ever want to pick the team. The club pay people to do that.

As you will probably be aware guys we have put on sale tickets for the first of our 'Ultimate Fan Experience Days' with the initial one being for an amazing day training with the first team squad and having access all areas with the coaching staff and players like never before.

You will be welcomed into the video review sessions and see how Danny and Jamie break down opposition teams for the following weeks game, you will have access to the gym sessions and see how much effort our boys put in to be the strongest they can. A field session will follow where you will witness the team put through their paces and work on specific technique drills and plays. Finally you will be presented with a memento of your day and taken for lunch by 2 Broncos first team players where you can get an insight into their lives outside of 'work'.

This is an amazing prize and we will have many more to follow as we try and get through these tough times together. So if you can please support the club with a fiver and maybe you could be the lucky winner this week!!!
