Watching the game back for the first time in years was very bittersweet for me.

I watched a stellar team containing (amongst many notable others) Briers, Morley, Ratchford, Myler, M. Monaghan, Atkins and Waterhouse destroy Saints and thought "How did we fail to win the big one?".

Then I watched the same team invite a rank poor Saints team back into the contest, get scrappy, lose focus and drift aimlessly and thought "Ah - that's how". We really did have a soft underbelly at times.

We had an unerring capacity to panic at the slightest hint of a comeback.
