I wish you would take him now. Can’t wait for the new era under Radford to start. Fresh ideas and new players. Powell has taken us as far as he can. Just don’t expect too much Warrington fans. His record in finals is abysmal.

Abysmal in semifinals, is far worse than abysmal in finals. If Powell puts us in a position to fix the first part, he can work on his failure.

A lot of people here clearly have no hope that we'll win a trophy with Powell, even though his appointment seemed fairly popular.

He's 0-3 in terms of finals for Cas I think, but the whole thing needs to be taken in context. Beaten by a very experienced Leeds team in 2014 challenge cup final after Powell only joined in 2013 is a decent effort. 2017 significantly the best team in the comp, Hardaker screwed your chances against, again, a very good Leeds team in the grand final. Saints last week were always going to be favourites and it played out that way, he may have made a mistake going in to it a bit cold, but a game v Huddersfield was called off by Hudds not Cas I think?

A time comes for all coaches to move on (See Tony Smith and how he is now doing with Hull KR), and I can understand the frustrations in this case given how it was announced and players following the manager is always going to raise issues - seems quite a toxic situation now.

I think overall Powell has done well at Cas and will be given better playing budget and facilities at Warrington - hopefully he can go a step further. Be interesting to see how Radford goes at Cas, whether he turns you guys in to a Hull FC mark II or whether he builds on what is already at Cas. I don't rate him as highly as Powell but he does have two cup wins under his hat...

I presume he was mocking the idea that Radford's ideas will be 'fresh' considering he plays fairly conservative rugby.

Classy Cas won't be so classy for a while.

I do like Radford though, and he is a double cup-winning coach to be fair.

Cas fan in peace, i think both coaches will see out their contract and rightly so.

FWIW i think Powell will be excellent with you, he will have a better squad than at Cas, if he can turn you into more of a team, one of his strongpoints IMO, the future is very bright.

People mention his record in finals at Cas, but realistically, there was only one of them that Cas would have been expected to win and there were extenuating circumstances there.

Most Cas fans are genuinely sorry to see him go.

Why back Powell when he's not yet arrived and isn't going to until this seasons done? I will back him when this seasons finished, as it's Price's ship to steer until then.
