Won’t let me quote beaujangles but yes probably suits our expansive style, believe it or not but the shay pitch measures 110 yds by 76 yds , Wembley is 115 yds by 74yds . Jouffret and walmsey in space could be lethal.

Well, yer never know, gizempo, playing Inman might have led to a more comfortable 20 nil Fax victory! Despite the win, I still think it odd that the previous week's MOM was dropped. Sometimes I think Grix does stuff to wind some of us up!

Apart from the MoM performance I’d have had Tom on the bench instead of Brandon not only for the interchange 9 slot but if Woody had another back problem Tom’s there to cover the halves but I’m not privy to the full game plan and don’t think team selection had anything to do with winding up those who would have gone with Inman.

Tom was great last week. But he is still very young and is sometimes prone to trying to force something. The conditions and occasion I think dictated a safety first approach. Watching the game I was thinking we ought to have put some grubber kicks in rather than the power play all the time, but in hindsight i can see why we didn't and why i am not the coach - rather we make them start their sets on their own line than give them 7 tackles from the 20.

BTW we do know - his team selection and tactics worked - and it also wound you up - bonus!

Find it hard to believe the Shay is wider-maybe the pich is 76 yds but not lined to it's maximum particularly at the east stand end ?

Well that was one hell of a weekend hence the delay in my thoughts on the game. I was watching the game from behind where the our league cameras was and when Lachlan caught what was a difficult ball to take then managed to break free to score i pretty much lost my voice from that point on. It was by our standards a very disciplined performance yes there was mistake but unlike our league form we backed that up with strong defence and ground out a very important win. For me that was one of our best team performances for some time we might of not been at our free flowing best in attack with it being wet and windy but from 1-17 the effort was there for the full 80. I do think we will need our attack to ask a bit more of Batleys defence in the final as i have said before we are more than capable of doing that and this game as all the makings of a cracking final.

Aye, Lachlan gets some spectacular tries but some have to be worked for like Saturday's. He did really well to get up for the ball, get control then race away down the pitch. Cracking! Long may it continue. Rat & Ratchet shuddersfield. White Rat 4.0% Mmm!
