Happy New Year everyone. 2025 gives us a feast of the longest running interrupted derby in RL and Wendyball, (outside the war years), yes we played Wigan in 1980 in the lancs Cup final to keep the run going. So who was fortunate enough to be at the New Year derby Warrington v Wigan in 1988. Dubbed as the WW3 game. I was there, stood, directly under the camera rig at the Snookers end. I was there too, the row in the bar after regarding Wigan's winning or losing pay was good fun. Wigan paid losing pay for a draw.
