Plent of KR fans there, reminds me of the good old days when we used to go away in large numbers and get behind the team!!

Full credit to the KR players for their defence. How many times we were on their line? Justin Morgan has done a great job, although we looked a bit clueless at times - that was no excuse.

As for the people still trying to get in before kick off, what a joke. I was outside about 15mins before kick off and missed the first 5 mins of the game. As I went through the turnstile, I reckon there was at least 500 at the back of the stadium still trying to get in. Same old crap, stewards who do not have a clue and generally don't care (unless you are stood on some yellow paint at which point the spring in to action!) and turnstile staff having training on the day.
I will be better prepared in future and turn up earlier - that is not the point tho. Too many turnstiles closed when they should be open.

Oh and just one more point to show my age. Reading the bulls site last week, we had all new catering to impress the fans. Same old crap, not that I eat it! but a cup of tea now £1.40. What a rip off, flask next time! ha ha

Been following the bulls for 24 years now. Just lately in my opinion we are letting standards slip off the field.

I don't really think it matters how many kr fans did turn out on Sunday. I was there and about 3k did but it could well be 2k or 5k no one will really know. factors to help it be a decent turn out is first game of season and also its against one of the "bigger clubs".
The game was quite poor quality but i didnt half go through the emotions in the second half thinking that we would crumble like we have done in the past and then to think we lost it in the dying minutes only to see dobson somehow get that dropgoal over the bar.

Good write up FA but I do take issue slightly on Platt. Thought his miss on Fox and the foot in touch were bad mistakes. As you say though Jeffries was poorer yet his performances are glossed over. I think that's often because his goofs are usually further up the field and aren't seen to lead directly to opposition scores. Our lack of cover at halfback means we'll have to persevere with him. As for Sheriffe he offered less than Halley on the wing and have so far struggled to see why we signed him.

Positives were that our forwards never seemed to run out of steam and looked much leaner than last year. This was in spite of losing Solomona and Langley which was very encouraging. In the backs Nero looked a different player but the rest got mostly got poor service and when they did get anything it was too direct with players attepting to run through defenders rather than creating gaps or trying anything more subtle.

As a result the negatives were the inability to convert all our pressure into points. Even allowing for HKR's Herculean efforts we should have been able to close the game out at 13-12. We need better organisation and crispness in the set plays.
