So, roughly 20 trips to Australia and bang a new stadium!

You’ve heard about that as well

Indeed. A Cas supporting colleague told me there was some significant disagreement on some signings between SG and DP.

Australian clubs won't come here on a jolly jape for a few quid because they take their domestic comp, pre season & prep far more seriously.
The pies and codheads are making it pretty clear what they value, I hope they're jet lagged to hell and back, and get their pants pulled down next week...:)

I stand corrected but why did Cas knock it back then if that sort of dosh was available?

Cas were never given the option. Only Leeds were invited to go as part of the World Club Challenge.

Hull and Wigan are completely separate from that.

I think that is the point.

Leeds were there as champions for the official World Club Challenge. As is always the case.

Wigan and Hull didn't wait for an invite, they sorted something out for themselves. Nothing that Cas couldn't have done (assuming they could have aforded the initial investment).
Apparently Hull and Wigan made something like £100k out of it. Not sure how true that is but it's clearly been worth while.

I think a lot might be to do with the fan base of both Hull and Wigan to why they were asked or put themselves forward.

I've heard SG has gone, stating health reasons for stepping down, but there is another reason behind it from what I've heard, no idea how accurate it is.
Also the 5 towns development has slipped back another 18 months and a desperate corporate advert is doing the rounds to try attract further investment there.

We don't seem to be in a good place at the moment to be honest, but hopefully it will all come out in the wash. It's certainly effecting our on field performances though. On the subject of TJ, I've said it on this forum before - future England winger without a doubt and I hope you can hang on to him. It's not very nice sitting there watching the so called 'bigger clubs' cherry pick your best players. Tell them all to 'go away' (for want of a better saying that I can't say on here).
