The important word is highlighted - he regrets it *now,* because he was caught, which is almost always the case.

I make no judgement of recreational drug use - but for those people in a profession in which it is prohibited, they have a responsibility to either not do it, or take steps to make sure they don't get caught, which isn't actually that difficult. So he's just another in the growing list of idiots who has probably chucked his career down the crapper.

FFS here we go again. This type of comment came out when Hardaker was exposed for drugs last year. There was a wild accusation then that the mahority of 25-35 year olds regularly took illegal substances. No one could provide any proof of that other then the comment of "well loads of my mates do on a weekend", which spoke volumes of the type of people they knocked about with.

Cocaine has always been around, its not a new thing. Its also been a Class A drug, there for illegal, let alone a banned sporting substance. If people choose to break the law, they have to accept the consequences if caught.

You final comment of "lets face facts" is quite the allegation. Are you stating that you know for fact that most player take illegal substances, or are you just hoping this comment doesn't get seen and you avoid (a) a ban from this forum, which I appreciate is a trivial issue, or (b) avoid further scrutiny for defamation of character for what is essentially a guess and probably an untruth.

Only speaking from personal experiences, I have been down the avenues in Hull with players from both clubs in previous years and its amazing how many big athletes can fit into a toilet cubicle. Now it may be a elaborate game of human jenga, however I very much doubt it. No accusations, just telling you what I saw and applying common sense.

I know its a different sport but I seem to recall Jake Livermore, a Hull City player in the premier league at the time, failed a similar drugs test under similar circumstances. He said the death of his new born baby affected him to the point of taking drugs, he wasn't banned rather pardoned (or given special dispensation) by the FA due to his circumstances.

I only bring it up as when others have been caught they just hold their hands up and don't make excuses where as Minns is citing the death of his Mother in all this. Not condoning or trying to justify his actions at all but wonder if he be looked at and treated differently to Hardaker (though still don't know the outcome of his failed drug test) though you would have thought with such a high profile player getting caught and the reaction following that players would maybe take a look at themselves and think twice but guess not.

So he did cocaine on Mothers Day, yet was caught after the Huddersfield game 4/5 days later. To me, that means he did a hell of a lot of the stuff for it to remain in his system, or he is a regular user

Not really . It depends on how cut the snow is and how much he allegedly did . It can stay in your system for 3 days to a week
Also depends how they tested it for a start ,if it was a blood test it can be 2-4 days . Urine test again it depends on the cut , from 2-4 days to about 10 days. The most stringent testing would be the hair as snow concentrations in the hair are there for months after you have used it .
