Surely if he was as good as you make out then either 1 of the remaining S.L teams would have offered him a contract, or the top 4 in the Championship for that matter. Think you need to take the blinkers off now and again.

I was surprised Cas didn't give him a chance before signing QLT? As for saying anyone could have scored those tries Salter and Blair have since proved otherwise.Carney also is too musclebound to do a lot of the diving finishes required nowadays. It was another Dixon situation imo and tbe buck stops with the Coach. You couldnt put him in above Quinlan at FB but he would be a shoe in for a wing spot now. If we'd have seen him in the team this last few game whilst we have been going forward well I'm certain we would have seen some great tries from him Good player imo but gone so it is what it is but for me I feel he wasn't given enough chance

MIKE SMITH- THE BEST CENTRE HULL HAS EVER MADE!

Kieron moss caught the eye at full back for Bradford and wasn't given a long stretch of games due to quinlan being there ,moved to the wing and did ok in the championship , is he good enough for superleague? another 3inches taller and a stone or so op top and he may have been, a bit too lightweight for sheens liking I think ,still a decent player who may have found his level now

East Hull Is Wonderful!

Re: If it stays the same. : Mon Jul 16, 2018 3:05 pm
We get a weekend off after the Hull game so why would you rest players when they will be getting a fortnight off anyways. Get them playing, keep the momentum going as much as you can before the split. On a side note, a promoted team that finishes 10th or even 9th should really be rewarded with staying in the league. Not have to go through another set of fixtures to justify their placement. The last two seasons in a row the team that has finished bottom has not gone on to be relegated.

We need to be signing you if you could have scored the 3 tries against hull, considering our injury situation in the backs.Never mind me taking the blinkers off,you get your boots on.

They were walk ins for whatever reason Sheens doesn’t fancy him hence him been released in effect we all have different opinions but you have to trust the coach who knows a lot more than we do

That's true but like a lot of rapid wingers we have had in recent year we haven't put them away in space anywhere near enough.Heff and Vai Vai have the hands to put their wingers away. Goulding and Sio gave us glimpses but that was another centre that went tits up

With Heff and Vai Vai we have two quality centres we were spoiled a bit with Sio and Mantallato Sio was absolute class and Josh for all his lack of speed scored a lot of tries kicked goals and brought the ball out well he made the most of his ability Oakes looks quality ( I don’t know what was wrong with him on Saturday) I’m not convinced by Shaw

League position won't be sorted until the final weekend. It us vital we finish 9th at the lowest. No thanks, that is one team I'd rather play at home. Same with Leeds.

I'd actually be quite surprised if Toronto play their home games in Toronto. I'd have thought they'd just agree to give them up and play every game at their opposition's ground (like they did in the Challenge Cup when they were given a home draw).
Yes they would be giving up home advantage but it definitely can't be in their advantage to be going backwards and forwards every week. Unless they plan to do a block of home games and then a block of away games which might be an option they're given.

If I've already missed any statement about how they intend to play their middle 8s games then my bad!

Fair enough .

Just out of interest why would we be the first club to play Toronto away? Last year we were in their position (top of championship) and we played the 10th placed SL team (Catalans) in week 6.

Personally I would rather play the (on paper) easiest teams at home . That would give a great chance of 8 points and only one away win needed. If we finish 9th and play Leeds at home (week 2 if the same as 2017) and lose, the jitters would really start and it all gets so difficult. Lose to them away and indeed Toronto away and we'd still get 5 wins beating Featherstone away and home games against Salford, Widnes, Toulouse and London. (obviously the championship teams could change). I actually prefer the fixtures for the 10th club as things stand

And BTW in round 22 if we lose to Warrington and Leeds beat Widnes at home our league position will indeed be sorted before the final weekend provided Salford lose in France. We'd be 10th no matter what with those results.

I'm sure ATEOTD neither of us will care how we stay up provided we do.

You don't have to pay a fee for MCB you can have him for nowt, you'll have to look sharp though he's turned down a new contract with us unfortunately for 1st team football, rumour has it he's off to Salford.
