Can only see them possibly beating Wire (because it’s the Thursday after Wembley) and Catalans at home final week. 9 points off 4th they’re in nothing to fight for mode and any injured players won’t be rushed back and others sent for post season ops early.

That's really what I was meaning.
The team is looking better but just disjointed and less fit due to injuries etc.
But those are the type of teams that will spring a surprise. When the team plays to the value of the sum of it's parts they will be a strong side again.
I can't see Hull just giving up now. It's not your style.

We'll see. I'm glad we got you before you got it back together.

It was a strange old game wasn't it? There was literally nothing in it up to a certain point and it looked for all the world it would end up finishing like that, then Wakefield seemed to just flick a switch and turn it on for the last 10 minutes and just blew Hull away... Hull did look really tired towards the back end and there was some more than questionable defence from the black and whites.

we did well to keep it close as we did, nothing left in the tank going into the last 10-15 minutes, we have no power going forward once taylor goes off, the attempts on johnstone were just embarrassing, thought we were a tad unlucky to be on the end of a few questionable linesman and referee calls in the first half but probably wouldnt have altered the result in the end as we were clueless when near the wakey line

I think that was the most frustrating thing, actually keeping up with you until so late in the game. Some strange decisions by us too, going for the 2 when you were down to 12 was a ridiculous thing to do, especially as we missed the goal and you had a 1 minute breather! Game management is poor at the minute.

I dunno, it didn't seem to me like an all of a sudden thing, more a slow grind where lots of little things gradually built up towards the end of the game, drip drip like till it spilled over the edge.
Overall, I thought 13 31 was a bit harsh on Hull considering their contribution to the game, they gave as good as they got for a lot of it, they just couldn't turn the tide and ran out of gas.
