Heart in mouth time when he took that high ball but surviving a bump like that must have done his confidence a world of good.

Great to see Manfredi back after his horrendous couple of years out
He's a fantastic talent and was probably the best winger in SL prior to his injury

As a neutral Manfredi and Tom Johnstone are 2 sensational wingers who I love to see play,I hope they both play for England this year v the Kiwis

Escaré is the perfect bench player. Injects a lot of pace into the game when defences are tiring and has a decent passing game. Could be our Rob Burrow.

I agree and I would be a bit gutted if the rumours that he’s returning to France are true.

Said that a few months ago and got shot down, " players like Burrow get worked out" and "No place for that kind of player in the modern game". Escare offers something different off the bench. It may not always work but that is life. We have been too formulaic at times having the option to change is valuable.

Agreed but looking at his body language when he was waiting on the bench for so long it was clear he wasn’t happy, almost sulking which I can’t really blame him for, I felt a little sorry for him truth be told. I thought once he came on he did well, looked lively and energetic.

I suppose his hope is that he’ll be far more important for Lam then Wane if he’s still here next season. He’s shown some fantastic skill this season Escare but Wane clearly doesn’t have a huge amount of trust in him (maybe rightfully so).

If Lam is true to his word and attempts to play an open brand of rugby then you’d have to think Escare will thrive under him and will be handy to have in the squad to cover various positions or add real impact from the bench.

Yeah he is effective in the role he is playing but I do feel we under-utilise him. He is so dangerous ball in hand that I don't think he should be sitting on the bench for over half the game.

Great to see Dom back playing in any capacity, but the best thing about it was just how much he looked ready in such a brutal game.

I think a fully fit & firing Manfredi probably would've played more of a role in taking some of the work away from our forwards in our own half, and you can understand him wanting to slowly build up to playing that sort of role, but it terms of what he did out wide and close to their line it was like he's never been away!

Both tries took some scoring, that second one in particular when he was bashing players out the way was an absolute joy. Made up for him.

I agree with what people are saying about Escare.

His run and pass to Gildart leading to the Manfredi 1st try was excellent. But in the same move also showed his weakness, his positioning was bad, so much so that he let the ball bounce 10m out from our try line. This time he got lucky and the ball went straoght to him, enabling him to execute the skill to get Gildart away.
But letting the ball bounce is dangerous, and it could have quite easily led to a try for Warrington if luck hadn't gone his way.
