I agree, and whilst the rule and it's inconsistent application are clearly flawed, I can't see how a 3 match ban can be avoided once the great and good have picked you out.

Jackson Hastings got 2 matches (and although he got red, he actually missed less of the match the incident took place in) for a tackle I thought was far worse.

It was a clumsy, poorly considered and executed attempted tackle. Hit the head and you leave yourself wide open for bans.

The upside is we can swap Atkins to that side now and we won't even notice Lineham is missing.

I'd love to see a table drew up of all the judiciary across the season to see if there is leniency towards one particular club...and then heavier penalties less against another.
I've a strong hunch which way one would lean.

Absolutely spot on...3 matches gives st hemmings a bit of help for when we clash in the semi...just hope no one else cops a ban...

Appeal details announced: Tom Lineham (Warrington Wolves) intends to challenge the grading of the Grade C High Tackle charge. Due to Warrington’s request for the hearing to be adjourned the case will be heard at a later date. Lineham will be stood down for this weekend's fixture.
