In any case Holbrook turned around a moribund St Helens in a short time in the same market, and I'm told we have a comparable squad quality.

What trophies have St Helens won under Holbrook? Only 2 years ago we won the LLS and were in two finals. We've been in one final this year.

I think you have missed the point. The discussion was about 2nd year expectations for a new coach. Sally was expressing the point that 2 years is too short and I contrasted with St Helens who within half a season went from poor form to 1 point away from a GF, then followed it up with a LLS this season.

Poor form and being in the Middle 8s are quite a distance apart. We have further to travel.

True. Saints were in 7th both when they sacked and then appointed Holbrook in May 2017 (we were in 9th when he was appointed). Their board acted quickly to turn things around by making the change.
