If you recall when Hurrell arrived he was used successfully wide out twenty to thirty yards from the opposition try line. At Bradford he seem to be trying to punch up through the middle of the line. That may well be the result of our powder puff forwards ambling around.

It's been said on here already but I don't think there is anyone with any credit left in the bank and I can't actually say I'd be hugely disappointed about anyone leaving. The whole attitude of the squad stinks and I think a lot of them have believed their press and that things will jut magically turn around for them.

Not to single him out because I think he's probably way down the list of priorities to sort out but Ash Handley giving it the beans down the camera after scoring against Cas was cringeworthy. I'd like to have seen someone grab hold of him and tell him to get a grip and get his head on the game but I think that's exactly the type of player we are missing...

Sutcliffe mentioned after he scored against Hull in the eliminator at Headingley in 2017 he got a bit carried away and Ryan Hall came and grabbed him and told him to calm down and get on with his job. Now Hall wasn't really known for his leadership qualities but what I'd give for someone that would do that right now!

Unconditionally keep
14. Brad Dwyer. At least the effort is there. Not sure about his defence, but could work in the sense of him being the successor to Burrow.
32. Tom Holroyd. Still early days mind.
4. Konrad Hurrell. I doubt he was fit against Bradford. He will flourish with better players around him
29. Harry Newman
19. Mikolaj Oledzki
18. Nathaniel Peteru
38. Ava Seumanufagai
33. Owen Trout
1. Jack Walker
13. Stevie Ward
3. Kallum Watkins

Conditionally keep
12. Carl Ablett - conditional on performance when he returns. Could be valuable as a leader.
17. Dominic Crosby. I guess we should be patient assuming he's medically able to play again.
11. Trent Merrin. I like Merrin. He should stay if his heart is in it.
7. Richie Myler. He's okay, with the right partner, which he doesn't have
9. Matt Parcell. Could do with recapturing his old form, but there are still glimpses there

Probably let go
36. Wellington Albert
2. Tom Briscoe - should be doing more but not showing it
25. James Donaldson
15. Liam Sutcliffe - our team has enough problems without having to solve the riddle of where to play this guy. He will most probably come back to haunt us but maybe he needs a change to refresh too

Reserve team
24. Luke Briscoe
35. Tyler Dupree
21. Ashton Golding
5. Ashley Handley - we can do better, at least he's homegrown
34. Corey Johnson
23. Callum Mclelland
37. Muizz Mustapha
10. Brad Singleton. Just hasn't kicked on
22. Cameron Smith. Needs to prove he is worthy of a first-team place.
30. Alex Sutcliffe
31. Daniel Waite-Pullan

Definitely let go
8. Adam Cuthbertson - yesterday's man, I'm afraid.
16. Brett Ferres - experienced players ought to be more disciplined
20. Jamie Jones-Buchanan
6. Tuimoala Lolohea. It's looking like a poor signing. I'm out of patience. He should be quicker and a better defender.

Good post.

I'd swap Myler with Donaldson.

Rest is pretty much as I see it.

Should go all in for Hastings and offer Myler as a makeweight

Carl Ablett - wanted to go to Aus for peanuts, no one wanted him so we offered a 2 year contract. Should never of happened. Time to go
Wellington Albert - panic signing, set him free at the end of the season
Luke Briscoe - another panic signing, let him go
Tom Briscoe - keep, needs a better centre ala Godden or Senior mold
Dominic Crosby - cheap, decent backup in the long run
Adam Cuthbertson - not really been the same as that first season. Wouldn't offer a new contract and his head might be turned at the offer of a 2 year contract at the end of the season
James Donaldson - cheap, good back up. Not the best nor a world beater but will help
Tyler Dupree - keep
Brad Dwyer - decent back up hooker, cheap and at the moment the only player busting a gut it seems
Brett Ferres - finally looks fit, maybe thats because its his last year on contract. Dont renew
Ashton Golding - behind Walker, face doesn't seem to fit anymore. Time to go
Ashley Handley - didn't rate him as a winger, but with more game time he's still scoring tries outside Hurrell. Keep
Tom Holroyd - Keep
Konrad Hurrell - Keep. With decent halves creating the space he could be destructive
Corey Johnson - keep
Jamie Jones-Buchanan - didn't need to be playing this season
Tuimoala Lolohea - has a fatter booty than me, poor signing. Let him go
Callum Mclelland - Keep
Trent Merrin - Keep and consider making him captain
Muizz Mustapha - Keep
Richie Myler - Get him a bloody decent SO - Keep
Harry Newman - made a few clangers, but has the potential. Keep
Mikolaj Oledzki - fear he'll be buggering off to the NRL before long. Keep
Matt Parcell - Shown a few glimpses of old form, worth keep for the final year of his contract
Nathaniel Peteru - on the fence, all dependant on how much he's on
Ava Seumanufagai - Keep
Brad Singleton - I'd allow him to go if an offer came in
Cameron Smith - Keep
Alex Sutcliffe - Keep
Liam Sutcliffe - Jack of all trades, master of none. Doesn't seem to like to pass, still struggling to see what his position is - on the fence
Owen Trout - Keep
Daniel Waite-Pullan -
Jack Walker - Must keep
Stevie Ward- Injuries haven't helped, and could be a future captain. Could he be about to do a JJB and after all the injury setbacks comeback and do the business? - Keep
Kallum Watkins - Had issues with him for a few years. Isn't a centre like Senior or Godden, both of whom created space and set their winger away. Can't pass, and in the Bradford game from the word go looked disinterested. Probably a very high earner too. If an ffer came in, i'd let him go

Whilst I sort of understand people saying "he's cheap so keep him" is exactly the type of thinking that got us into this mess. Of course you're going to need a mix and those lower paid players are worth their weight in gold as we have seen over the years but we're past worrying about them and need to get in some real quality then go from there. For me and given they're clearly not up to the mark, there is no one who falls into the "cheap" category I'd be going out of my way to keep. I appreciate building a squad is a little more complex/involved than my black and white view btw...

I'd keep Donaldson based on what I've heard about his attitude and commitment to training. He'd be a squad man but it looks like this squad needs a change of attitude and with the right leaders in there, someone like him could be good for the transition of the kids coming in

Really only the prospects are safe for me the rest are fair game and i wouldn't care if any of them were moved on. First of all we need to find out which of these players want to stay and fight for the badge because on current evidence it doesn't seem like many.

No room for sentiment or "he's cheap" keep him options.
The squad should be supported by the u19's/reserves not poundland back ups with a good attitude.
