Some silly comments on here.

I never thought the guy was Wigan standard, and I'll never be sorry to see lesser players replaced with better players, but people should remember that TT's career is now over and he's only in his early 30s.

Okay, it was a stupid thing he did, but show some charity, people. He has a family to support, after all.

Here here.

From a rugby point of view I’m not sorry to see him go but there is a human story and a family behind this too.

He made a stupid mistake and is paying for it big time, seemed like a genuine good bloke and I’m sorry for him and his family that it’s come to this. If he returns to Oz I hope he can get a gig playing rugby at some level and support his family.

Also got to appreciate some of the things he did for charity, such as growing and cutting his hair for a local charity (I can’t remember which one).

It was silly what he did and reckless what he did, no one can defend it and further to that he wasn’t Wigan standard of player either. But we do have to appreciate the predicament he is now in, no job and a family to support. I do hope he gets something sorted back in Australia whether that be in rugby or not.

Moving on from TT, with him and Hamlin now gone I would expect us to move for a prop forward prior to the signings deadline on 9th August. Probably Mitch Clark seeing as he’s not playing much for Cas.

No, he made a dumb decision to do this years ago and got caught. To get caught again is someone moronic and not thinking of his family. I wonder how many times he did drink and drive prior to his 2nd conviction withought being caught.

I tend to agree, there isn’t a great deal of sympathy from me either.

I’m pretty sure nobody would ever condone his behaviour the first time or the second. It was stupid and shows little concern for the safety of other people.
However, when it’s stripped back, he’s a bloke with a family whose life has been turned upside down. His children know nothing different than life in England and a father who plays rugby league as his job. That has all gone now and the human in me feels for the whole family. I spoke with him on Friday and he was clearly devastated yet still found the time to chat and have his picture with my son.
I really do wish him and his family well, whatever the future holds for them.

He's a good bloke with a kind heart. He's made some bad decisions (haven't we all) and it hasn't seemed like he's been completely focused on his rugby so I hope things are Ok in his personal life. If not, hope they improve. Best of luck to him.
